So have I this interesting ‘practice’ [for lack of better word] that I like to observe that I thought I would share with all of you. –Hopefully to which you will go on to share with your friends and family if you feel the same.

Are you ever feeling unsecure in your world be it work, romance, play, or home? Don’t lie and say you don’t because we all know it happens. So next time you are feeling no matter what the feeling is… be it good or bad. If you have had enough with it, try thinking to yourself.. “what would Anna Wintour do?”

Take a lesson from The Queen of Fierce and try to apply what you just thought of. Put on your metaphoric bug eyed glasses that you wear so well strut your stuff and make all the things you thought were in your way lie down to be your path. Never let who your are or where you want to be, be a deterant in your life. Anna Wintour that bitch and own it who know's maybe you'll end up the editor and chief of the next big fashion publication. Maybe it will be you who chooses what the entire world is wearing.

Holiday Music [11.2]

It's interesting how a simple 'haveyourselfamerrylittlechristmas' moment can change your day. Whether you are out in a swarm of people trying to be a gift for that special someone, or scrubbing your floorboards with amonia [okay maybe, it's just my mother and I that do that] or at work if you hear the right holiday tune it is interesting how that can turn your day into a 'holly jolley one [pun intended]

So I was thinking. Why not always just store your 'goodkingwenceslas' tune in the back of your head all year round? Maybe not a holiday song per-say. Maybe not even a song at all. Just something that you know can lift your spirits when your having a 'bluebluebluechristmas' sort of day.

Find your 'Letitsnowletitsnowletitsnow' and stick it in the back of your head. then next time your not 'homeforchirtmas' pull that hammer out of your little elf-toy-making-tool-belt and use it.

Vanity [11.1]

Vanity

We are all so vain its interesting really how we can even function as a working society. what is it really that makes us this way we will never know but i do know that what i am saying here is very much fact. Now I realise that I am crazy when it comes to getting ready in the morning but even still. I make coffee all day and yet i wake up two whole hours before I need to leave the house just to get ready. I know i can be ready in 25... but i like to spend the other 1 hour and 35 minutes staring at my self in the mirror.

This morning as i was riding the T into the city it really caught my attention how many people there are getting on the T [which by the way for those of you who dont know its a form of public transportation] in Luis Pant Suit, Prada Boots, with a Coach Bag. Is this really necessary? or even ethical?

NO

But here I sit on the T with a woman wearing a Versacce Scarf and a Marc Jacobs RTW [brilliant pairing by the way] Skirt across the isle from me. Our world is vain. I am vain. You are vain. WE ARE VAIN!

Its interesting how we are so vain that I dont understand how our society can function as it does and yet... if we were not so vain our society would not so much as exist let alone function.

So... I guess the vain is here to stay. [secretly: im rather okay with this]

Lit Up [10.10]

In light of recent events relating to the death of four kids who have killed themselves as the result of some sort of gay bullying I felt I should post something that coincides with that.

We are all amazing. It really is as simple as that. We all have the potential to glow as bright as the brightest light but we have to want to glow we have to want to shine. We cannot expect somebody to just come and switch on our lights. You have to light your own bulb. If you feel lost, or alone, or scared, you have to get up and turn on your own light. It will not light itself. However, we don't have to light our lights alone.

Reach Out. No matter how alone you feel, there will always be someone you can reach out to, and they WILL help you light your light. But. You still have

to be the one to reach out. Go to a friend. Go to a family member. Hell- go to the neighbor two doors down. Just GO. You cannot wait for somebody to come turn on your light. You have to turn it on. So get up... and GO.

Light your own light.. Whether you are gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered, or... --I don't know-- a dog you are still fantastic. You will always be fantastic. We will all always glow. Don't let your lights be off. Even if you feel like you are

the only one. Do not stop glowing because even a single solitary bulb glowing in the distance is beautiful. Far more beautiful than nothing at all.

Do not let your bulb burn out. Let it shine bright!

To remind us all to light our own light, and to remember those precious lives that were lost, and to help us all remember to reach out and turn on our own lights. I have a 5-step challenge for all of you:

STEP ONE:

Find a light that you see every day.

STEP TWO:

Go turn it on.

STEP THREE:

leave on the light for at least 24 hours

STEP FOUR:

Whenever you see that light --even just from the corner of your eye, think of those kids who took their lives, think of how much the world will miss them. send your love to their family and friends. And don't let that be you. Don't let your light burn out. Keep your light glowing strong.

STEP FIVE:

Get one other person to do my 5-step challenge. Spread the word.

Riding the T [10.9]

I never thought I would see the day that I admit to enjoying public transportation but I feel that it is imperative that you all are made aware that I love the T it is so much fun and if nothing more its like a 20 minute period of time to just do nothing and enjoy doing nothing on the way to work.. its relaxing really. I honestly do love it. I cant believe how many times I am saying it.. anyhow when slash if you come to visit me in Boston make sure to take the T its fun fun fun. And if nothing more it’s the perfect place for people watchin. Felt you should all know. You see some of the most unique people, some of the most odd couples [like the one sitting across from me right now. If I could take a picture without it being weird I would but I cant so I wont but use your imaginations. :)

Boston Conservatory Class of 2014 [10.8]

BOCO

So. Even though I don’t go to the Boston Conservatory or BOCO I feel that I should just let the world know that today I had the pleasure of getting to know a bunch of people from the class of 2014 and they are all such cool people.[please note that I am not doing this post as a form of kissassery but as an informatory sort of thing..] they are so much fun to be around and just listen to them talk even. They are such a fun energetic group it’s amazing. They are amazing.

Since I was eight years old I knew that I wanted to be an architect, but when I was with them today it really made me wonder if I made the right career choice. I mean I know I will love what I plan to do but will I love the people that I will be working with? It really did for one of the first times in my life make me wonder if I chose the right career… I then remembered that I need dollars.

But just know world [or rather the 5 people that will read this…] that the class of 2014 at Boston Conservatory is a truly awesome group of people. And I advise each and every one of you to meet and make friends with a ‘theatRE person’ as it will make your life more fun and full of energy. But, if not anything else they will make you smile.

Who Kicks Ass? STARBUCKS DOES!!! [10.7]

Starbucks

It is shocking to me the amount of people that find harmony and happiness and such at Starbucks. What is it about the place that makes it so amazing? Instinctively I feel that I should naturally respond to that question by saying coffee, but then I was thinking.. There are hundreds of coffee shops around and more than a few of them are not of the Starbucks variety… and more than a few of those few are not quite comparable at best. So what is it about Starbucks specifically that makes it just totally kick ass?

How does Starbucks kick ass for you?

I think that for me… the reasons are [1]the options: You can stop in a snag a coffee on the way to work or you can stop in and stay a while. [2] The staff: the people that work at starbucks have such amazing personalities and attitudes that you cannot help but to just be drawn to them and their infectious personalities, I feel like they actually care for each customer. Like their drink is a gift, from their heart to yours or something of significance. Why is that?

In summation I feel it is only fair to finish by saying that I truly do love and cherish my Starbucks and all my fellow Starbucksians:)
