Barker Vs. Kraft [11.4]

Barker Vs. Kraft

There are a slim few of you that know that my perpetual Achilles heal of my nonperishable cabinet is and always will be a good ol’ box of ‘hi I’m four again’ Kraft Mac & Cheese. Now I know you’re all thinking this is a joke but legit here ladies and gentleman this is a seriousness equivalent to the likes of baklava and good Italian cooking. Every time that I reach into my cubord to grab a box of KM&C my mind runs through an entire array of Court scenes.

Barker Vs. Kraft.

Verdict:

Undecided!

Inocent!

GUILTY!

Why is it that even though we all have these little ‘guilty pleasures’ [or should they really be called ‘innocent pleasures’] we are so ashamed of them like I am my M&C? Why is it that we hide them from the world? Well I think that it is stupid so I am here to tell you all that it’s okay to be silly and not hide it!

I AM DILLION J BARKER AND I HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART FOR:

KRAFT MAC AND CHEESE!

How is it that we have come to live in a society so closed minded that we are afraid to admit to even the silliest thing as enjoying a gross bit of cheese and noodles. Why is it that we condemn the things that are not the norm and yet so freely accept and pressure the rest of the world into what is ‘usual.’ Are we really so scared of what we are not that we must push it away? I think perhaps we are. However that raises the question: why is it then that so many visionaries have changed the world as we know it by not listening to the slaves of the normal? By believing in what they felt was the best they could be? By saying: “Whatever I know who I am. I know who I want to be.” It was once said... [by me lol] Be daring, be different, be impractical: be anything that will assert the integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary. Routiens have their purposes, but the merely routine is the hidden enemy of high art.

I urge you all to embrace your Kraft Mac & Cheese moments, Embrace those Guilty Pleasures.Who know’s-- maybe you could be the next Elton John, Lady Godga, or Madona?
