Have you ever flown through a cloud so thick that all you see is unchanging and yet slightly ‘morphic’ white that simply engulfs the plane? While flying to Boston [YAY!! GO BOSTON & MASSHOLES!!!] this happened and I know it sounds silly but I sort of felt like the earth was eating me. [for lack of better term] It was really rather eye opening—oddly it was one of the few moments I saw nothing of the outside world—I really felt like I was subject to the planet and its ways. It was interesting to have a feeling so lacking in control. I mean my safety as well as the safety of a few hundred people was in the hands of two pilots who couldn’t see any more than I.
An interesting feeling.
when my family and i were coming home from new york we were above Michigan at one point and the clouds were magnificent! it honestly was so pretty and it was as the sun was going down and so the sky wasn’t blue it was like tomato soup, wow it honestly was one of the prettiest things ive ever seen!
